THOMAS WHELAN cup WINNERS 21

Massive well done to the U11s (last years U11s, delayed due to covid) who retained the Thomas Whelan Cup after winning it in 2020. The boys had to face very stuff competition from Oulart The Ballagh who put up a fierce encounter and made it a very enjoyable match. The away side were leading by a point at half time and it wasnt until Frankie Cullen drove low to the net that Blackwater were in the lead. The boys of green and gold did put on a massive amount of pressure but the Oulart keeper puled off some marvelous saves. There was great performances all over the field from the winners who will go into the U13 championship with great confidence for the season ahead.
