Third team makes winning start

Kilmore 2-10 to 4-14 Blackwater

The second junior b team made a winning start to this years junior b Championship in a wet Kilmore. The first half was a close affair until 10 minutes to go we started to pull away with three points in a row. Kilmore pulled one back just before half time to leave three between the sides.

The second half couldn’t have started any better when Kealan goaled after some good work. Kilmore though fought back and goaled two minutes later to bring it back to three but on the next play Cathal Fortune hit an excellent shot to the top corner to goal again. Again another two minutes later Mikey effectively killed the game with a goal of his own. Some nice points from both sides kept the scoreboard ticking over while a late Din goal but the gloss on the win. The team play again next Friday against St. Anne’s 3rd team at home at 7:30pm.
