Well done this evening to our u/16 girls, who travelled over to clonee and came away with a hard earned win. In a tight game we just shaded the 1st half and led by 3 at the break.
The 2nd half continued in much the same way with our girls pulling out a bit of a lead, but for the last 15 minutes we went down to 14 players as one of our girls became ill and clonee started to come back but the girls put in great effort and held on for a deserved win.
Special thanks to our u/14 girls who came up to make the team, without these girl's we could not field an u/16 team. Well done all

The girls have been busy this week. On Tuesday evening the Blackwater babies were out at home to the shels, both sides put on a good display of football with the shels out scoring us in the first half, but our girls got back a bit in the 2nd and grew stronger as the game went on and never gave up. Great bunch of girls looking good for the future.
On Thursday our junior b girls took on davidstown at home, though we led by 1 point at half-time both sides were guilty of missed chances and we probably should have led by more. They came out more determined in the 2nd half and scored a couple of quick goals and went into a 9 point lead our girls battled back to get within 3 but unfortunately the final whistle came to soon. Final score 4-4 to 3-10.
This morning they were out again to starlights and were dominant from the start, again we were not as clinical as we could have been in front of goal but some of our play was excellent. Final score 4-10 to 1-2.
Tomorrow evening our U/16 girls are away to clonee throw in 7:30 pm. Good luck girls.

Our U/12 girls travelled over to monageer this evening and came away with a well earned,if tough win. Monageer have re-entered ladies football this year and have a good panel of girls but our girls proved to strong. With young Emma Cullen very strong in fullback not much got passed her, in the final quarter she was put up in full forward and proved equally as good there scoring 2 goals matching Nicole powers brace. The whole team played with great attitude. Final score 1-6 to 6-6. Well done all. ... See MoreSee Less

A tough match today for our u/16 girls at home against a very strong baile dubh tire side. All the team put in a great effort, especially the younger u/14 girls who did not look out of place. Though the scoreline might look a bit grim it was only in the last quarter that the scores started going against us. As our girls tired they were able to bring on all their subs and the fresh legs told. Final score 2-4 to 7-10 . Proud of you all. ... See MoreSee Less
