Latest NewsWell done Darren and Wexford

February 3, 2019

Huge congrats to Darren Byrne and the Wexford hurling team who defeated Cork in Pairc uí Chaoimh by 1-18 to 0-17 this afternoon. Darren made a bit of history by becoming the first Blackwater hurler since James Ormonde (Pictured below) in 1965 to start for the Wexford seniors (Lar Leacy made a sub appearance in 2000).

Darren’s great grandfather Tom Byrne of played in an All Ireland Final so let’s hope Wexford can do the same this season.
